THe TrEE Is UP!

Finally getting into the Christmas spirit! I have been shopping (which I love) and we have the tree up! All of the kids loved putting up the tree! It was so cute to see them get so excited about it. Charice helped me get it out of storage and set it up then the boys went to town decorating. Teige had a hard time grasping the concept of hanging them on the branches so he would just put them in the tree. There would be a hole with a bunch of ornaments just chilling on top of the branches. The memories!

The tree is now only decorated from about little hands reach and up. It is just too tempting for little boys. Pretty sure we won't have a "pretty tree" for awhile. Can't believe Christmas is coming so fast. Still so much to do!

ChRiStmAS in three Weeks!

I am having such a hard time grasping that today is December 1st and that Christmas is only 3 weeks away! We don't have any Christmas decorations up, including our tree, and I haven't bought hardly any presents yet. I just can't seem to get in the Christmas spirit and I'm not sure why. Just yesterday my sister pointed out that I could be using the whole "I'm gonna call santa" bit. Why the heck didn't I think of that earlier......I could have started using it a month ago. It works oh so well with Cam!

We did see Santa at the mall last week and Camden loved it! Teige wouldn't sit on his lap but that was pretty much expected with his age. So the plan is to get the tree up, buy a few things and get the Christmas music going! Because ready or not, Christmas is coming!

So what's my blog address again?

Seriously it has been so long since my last post that I couldn't even remember how to log on. Why can't I keep this thing updated!? I love writing about funny little things my kids say so that I can look back and have a good laugh. So here is one for ya.......a little blow to the ol ego. When Camden was about Teige's age, he used to always shush me whenever I sang to him. I would be singing along in the car and he would yell, "Mommy shhhhh!" Well, he has passesd the tradition right on to his little brother. Yesterday, I was singing Twinkle Twinkle in the tub to the boys. Teige kept covering my mouth with little hand yelling, "AHHHHH". I thought little kids liked to be sung to. I seriously must be doing something wrong here.

Where have I been?

I am such a slacker! I cannot believe it's been so long since my last post. I refuse to let facebook take over my blogging because my blogging makes the perfect journal!

We have some busy weeks coming up! In two weeks it is my little Camden's 3rd Birthday, in three weeks we are off to Disney Land and in four weeks Teige turns one! So excitingyet so sad that the babies are growing up so fast.

So tonight we were at Garicas eating (kids eat free every Tuesday is the best). Anyways, Charice was coloring on Camden's kids menu and when she finished she showed Camden her masterpiece. Camden's eyes got all big and he said, "That's amazing Charice, I am so proud of you!" I seriously could laugh all day at the things that comes out of his mouth.......well most everything.

My two year old put me in check yesterday.......twice!

So the thing I love the very most about blogging is that you can post the funny little things your kids say and then save those sweet moments forever. I know these moments are of course the funniest for the parents and may be boring for others to listen to, but I am posting them anyway. For example:

Yesterday I was taking a bath with my two boys (oh yes so relaxing), and I squirted Camden with a little bath toy he has. Thinking he would just giggle like usual and then get me back, he instead got his serious face on. Camden looked at me and said "How would you like it if I did that to you?". When I told him that I guess I wouldn't like it he said, "Well, don't do that to me then". Not sure where he came up with that one but good lesson learned!

A few hours later I was nursing Teige and he decided to bite down and pull (his new little trick that he thinks is just amazing). I looked at Teige and told him "Ouch Teige that hurts.". Camden came running in the room and asked why I was getting mad at his brother. When I told him that Teige had bit me Camden said "Don't get mad a Teige, he is my best friend". Between that adorable statement and the bite to the boob, I was literally in tears. So sweet.
